LG - INFINIA LE9500 LED TV
- LG on Wednesday unveiled its new flagship HDTV, a 0.92-inch-thick model that sports a near-edge-to-edge look thanks to a 0.33-inch bezel.
- Rightly placing emphasis on the picture, the LE9500 series of LED-based LCD HDTVs has what might be the thinnest bezel on an HDTV to date.
- Better still, it’s got all the accoutrements of a flagship model, including 3D capability and a 480Hz refresh rate, as well as optional Wi-Fi and Internet widgets. It likely also has a scanning backlight and motion compensation tech.
Specifications:
- 0.33 inch bezel, 0.92 inch panel depth
- 3D compatibility
- 480Hz refresh rate
- Magic Wand remote and user interface
- Full array LED backlight with local dimming
- THX certification
- Netcast Interactive feature suite with Netflix, Vudu, Skype, Napster, YouTube and Yahoo Widgets
- DLNA compatible for music, photos and video
- Optional “Wireless Media Hub” interface
- Optional Wi-Fi connection
- LG Infinia 55LE9500: 55-inch, price and availability TBD
- LG Infinia 47LE9500: 47-inch, price and availability TBD
The set comes with LG’s “Magic Wand” remote, which behaves like the controller used with the Nintendo Wii. Yes, that’s right: even couch potatoes can get exercise changing the channel.
